Are we are we ready to go? >> I think we're ready to go. >> All right. So, I'm starting the recording for Jan. All right. Uh it is October Friday, October 10th, and we are starting the HPC meetings. >> Terrific. Uh let's do a little head count and we'll we'll call the meeting to order. I'll I'll do it real quick. So, we got noses. Uh Miranda, Jeremy, John, Phil, Paul, and Kim. And that's a quorum. And we're ready to rock. Meeting skull to order. First order of business is reviewed in the minutes. >> Make that motion. >> Second. >> Second. We have two seconds. Jim and John. >> All in favor are approved. >> Uh there I wonder if I got this right. 2

I can jump in the meeting. I'm sure >> and that's where it was. >> Maybe it's on T. >> I have never seen um a smaller audience. >> I can always just read it to the mute. >> That would be great. >> Okay. >> Uh let let's just read where everyone start like to start with. >> Um just because it's listed this way on the agenda, we'll start with 721

Uh, just for the record, could you call out the name of the sign? >> Uh, did I not? Oh, 721 Columbia Street is the application
  6. 19:12>> and the sign is >> I just don't have it on here. >> Yeah, I apologize. Don't have it up. >> Uh, motion to approve the C for hereafter and forever. John and Miranda and Jeremy. All in favor? Any opposed? It's approved. 609 Warren Street. >> Okay, hold on. I'm just making Okay, hold on. Um, this is for 609 Warren Street. Again, it's a type 2 action. It was due on September 26th. This application dated September 8th attached here 2 and hereby incorporated into the significant certificate of appropriateness determined to replace existing byfold doors with a display window with trim, fixing awning, and signage pursuant to the specifications submitted to the commission. is hereby approved. If any historic building elements are revealed, the applicant must inform the building code officer immediately and the applicant may need to approve may need to apply for another certificate of appropriateness. Motion to approve 609 circulation appropriateness. Um all in all in favor. >> Are there any opposed? The uh Ca is approved. >> Uh next up if this agenda still holds uh is a continuation of our review of 337339 Union Street. Uh there were some missing bits uh in basically specifications uh of uh windows, door and specs to include siding as well. Does anyone speak for 337 339 union? >> Um this is Aiden Daste. I am here present.
  8. 21:17>> Perfect. Thank you. So Aiden, just just focus on what the ask was and what you brought in to complete the application. >> Okay. Is it okay? Should I share my screen, >> please? >> That would be great. >> Okay. Let me know when you can see it. >> Yep. >> Your honor. >> Okay. So, um this is the updated HPC um um sheet set. So, as you can see here, we did a site map so that you can see where the intended fencing is going to go. Um, that wasn't in the last meeting, so I just wanted to go over that with you to make sure that we're all on the same page. Um, we can Is that clear for everybody? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, we have a a really beautiful old barn here in the backyard that we
  9. 22:20want to keep the face of in in our backyard. So, the fence will go along the back of the property line and then we'll end at the corner of the barn in the alleyway and then continue at the edge of the barn down the side of the property which is where it currently is located. So, basically the fence is just being replaced as to where it is currently located. It's a six-foot uh natural pine privacy fence with a a lattice on top. >> Um we have adjusted um the um window uh specifications as requested in the last meeting um to be four over four. uh you know wood windows the windows and door schedules are posted. >> Do you have a spec sheet uh attached? We
  10. 23:26don't have to go through it. Just confirm that you got it. >> Yes. >> Good. >> So all of the existing windows that are remaining are now shown accurately. That was one of the points of last of the last meeting that they were shown inaccurately. So >> yeah, so all the all of the windows are now shown accurately. >> So the top is what was there, the bottom is what you're proposing. And so you're adding four over four double on on the first floor. And then all the other windows are existing for me. >> Correct. >> And then the next elevation, I just want to be really clear what's new and what's not. >> Okay. So, I just wanted to show you something is that on the last at the last meeting, we had to replace the kitchen windows, these two, but we decided to keep them. So, they're reflected here. Uh, we have six over six on the top and six over six
  11. 24:30on the bottom and an additional four over4 window in the bathroom of the addition on this elevation. >> And you're keeping the original material. >> That's correct. >> What else did we have in terms of questions? I think about the windows. a number of lights and >> the windows, the doors. We found out about the siding, the fence we wanted, the plan, and I think that's all. Look at my notes. You want >> Okay, >> I think that was it. Anything else? Oh, >> not that. >> Uh, commissioners, uh, are we okay to >> the vinyl the sighting? I'm sorry. >> Yeah. No, go ahead. And I apologize I wasn't here at the last meeting. Um you uh you have a question about the vinyl clad signing. Is it wood? It wasn't clarified and is it clarified in the plan now?
  12. 25:31>> Oh yeah. Last week's meeting it was the main building the existing to main. You're leaving the vinyl as is correct. And that's reflected in these drawings. >> That is correct. >> Okay. Thank you. >> What is the addition being signed in? >> Woody wood or wood system. It'll be Woodclad. >> Thank you. >> Uh I I think uh questions were asked and answered. >> Uh may have a motion to find the application complete. >> Uh Jeremy and Paul. All in favor? >> Motion to wave the public hearing and request the attorney see and hands up. Somebody >> y >> uh Jeremy Wall all in favor. >> I >> you are approved. It's been adjourned. Thank you so much for working with us. >> Thank you. >> Thank you so much, guys. That was awesome. >> Excuse me, chairman. We have an issue, which is that I am not going to be able to share my screen unless I quit Teams
  13. 26:35and re-enter, which will erase the recording of the meeting so far. So we can live with this if >> people can share >> people can share their own if the applicants are able to share the material screens. >> No thank thanks so much and thanks so much for chipping in and >> sorry >> helping the show. >> Don't know why that happened but you can be sorry. I mean uh um you're doing great. Uh what what's up what's up next? My agenda somehow or another is incomplete. >> 447 Warren. >> Uh, call it harder. 447 Warren. >> Terrific. Is there a here for 447 Warren? >> Yes, I am here. If you could just give me a minute. I have to email the rendering to myself really quick so I can share it on my screen. >> Oh, good. Thank you. >> Okay. Thank you so much. Just one moment. [Laughter]
  14. 28:26Do we want to go to the next one? >> Yeah. >> Uh, no, I got it. I just have to um figure out how to share my screen now. I don't do it often. So, let's see. >> Should be in the top right. You should see something called share. >> Yes. Uh, hold on just one second. Share. with the thing. Share screen. I don't know. Share screen with audio. I don't think that's what I want to do. I just need to share a photo. Uh let's see. Share photo. Okay. Um Okay. Can you guys see that? >> We can. >> Yes. >> Okay. Perfect. So, this is for 447 Warren Street. Um, it was previously approved for 237 Warren Street back in 2023, but Hulahan Lawrence is moving their location to 447. Um, it's the same. It is a MDO wood sign panel. Uh, it's painted PMS color 4 5463 and it has halfinch raised letters and an emblem
  15. 29:32painted in white. It has not changed. They're just changing location. >> What is it being attached to the building with? Um, it would be attached to the building with uh three 3/4 inch tech screws the same way it was attached to the other building. But this is a brick facade and it's a beautiful facade. >> That was one of their concerns and we did assure them that we could repair the facade with any holes. The holes will be very minuscule. >> And Lawrence signs and prayers. Uh motion application complete. >> One we did approve in the past. Was it on a wood? It was on a wood facade. >> I don't remember. It was also on a brick facade as well before at uh 237 Warren Street. >> Will you be repairing those holes when you depart? >> We would repair. Yeah. Yes, we would
  16. 30:34repair that. >> Okay. A motion to find the application complete. And that's uh Jeremy and Kim. All in favor? I motion to wave a public hearing and request the city attorney. And that would be to Jeremy and >> all in favor. Any opposed? >> I officially abstain. That's my daughter. >> Yes. >> Uh so vote count. We still have 1 2 3 4 5. Uh the quorum stays put and you're approved. >> Okay, perfect. Thank you so much for your time. Thanks. Just going to turn down here. 77 North 7th or am I wrong? Am I right or am I wrong? >> The next one I see that Craig sent >> 70274 Columbia. >> I'm sorry. >> 70274 Columbia Streets next.
  17. 31:37>> From 70274 Columbia. >> Kylie from Tonic Engineering. Kylie, >> how are you? >> There you are. Can you uh can you share your screen? >> Yep. You guys can see that? >> We can. >> All right. Um so this is 70274 Columbia Street. Um we're here just for some fencing. Um the portion back here was already previously approved. This is the dumpster enclosure. Um, and then we're just proposing to add um some wood fencing around the um outdoor green space. Um, and then some papers. Uh, so here is on our plan this dumpster enclosure already approved. Um, it's brick and wood. Um, and then we'll just have some corner posts here. >> Thought this included windows and doors.
  18. 32:40It doesn't. It's just the fence. >> Just the fence. >> Um, actually, I can show you a photo of what they're proposing. So, some This is on the adjacent property. Um, and they want to match what's on the adjacent property. Um, so it's just going to be a 3ft tall wood fence. Um, we're approximately 6 to 7 ft apart for the posts. Um, and then two horizontals. And it's just two horizontal elements. That's it. >> Yep. Uh it's mostly just to delineate the space. Um you know, make it feel like it's, you know, cuz they're going to do the landscaping in there. Um so just make it feel like it's all one cohesive space. >> What gives us that bubble in red? Bubbles are in this one. It's just the re it's just the revision cloud. That's all.
  19. 33:43Um so nothing's changing on the front. Um on the side, you can see here um we're just adding these two sections on the Seventh Street side. And then on the back, this is the existing um dumpster closure. And so this wood fence is going to butt up right against that. There'll be a 10-ft opening here from the off- streetet parking to the green space. And then on this side, which is the train track side, um same thing. It's going to um run alongside the building and then tie into the dumpster enclosure. >> Seems innocuous enough. >> I think it's quite nice, John. Okay. >> I'm innocuous. So guys, >> are you planning on doing the doors and windows eventually? Just cuz it's listed on it was listed by CRA as that. So I'm just curious if you just if that was a discussion or just a mistake. >> Um this was approved in 2021. Um and
  20. 34:47then again in 2022 and 2023. Um so now they're just coming back. All the exterior stuff on the building has been completed. Um so now they're working their way to uh the green space. Um so windows and doors have been restored um and the front ones were replaced um with specifications provided to HPC. Um so the only area in question right now is the fence >> and the occupation just as fence. >> Y uh motion complete. Uh Jeremy and Paul all in favor. >> Wave a public hearing and prepare a C by the city attorney. Paul and Miranda. All in favor. >> It's unanimous. You're approved. >> Thank you. >> Thank you guys. Good to see you. >> Good to see you, too. >> What do we got next? >> I saw the >> I thought Craig had said something in
  21. 35:57Um 37 >> from uh Kylie Patchro. >> Oh, maybe that that was >> that that was different sender. Uh ladies and gents on the phone and uh across the seas, is there anyone else who submitted and um it was agreed through code enforcement that you'd be on the agenda or are we done? >> I have an outstanding other business once if no one uh if there no more applications can we go to other business? So last week you asked or last meeting sorry you asked Victoria to draft a letter regarding your um approval of the uh JLE 36 street school. A letter has been drafted. I don't know if you want to approve that to send a signature.
  22. 36:59>> Uh we had agreed in that meeting that uh uh Phil and Victoria were authorized. >> Okay. Uh what I just want to confirm publicly is that the uh intent and focus is on the adaptives for use. Uh we're not commenting further on uh anything else. >> Yeah. And I mean the letter >> you want it's very short. The city the city of uh the city of Hudson historic preservation commission commission sorry amendment my mouth has conducted a preliminary review of JLE school project and is conceptually approves the adaptive reuse of the building for affordable senior housing. Please note the HBC has not reviewed any specific details of the project and a formal review by HBC will be required in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. It's all >> simple. >> So fantastic. >> Sorry I didn't know that you approved it last meeting. I like you approved it to be John. >> Yes. >> How did this get a fantastic beautiful?
  23. 38:05>> What's going on? >> All right. This is all brilliant. Uh >> anybody else have stuff or can we uh >> take a motion to adjourn? >> I will make that motion. and and uh by pretty much everyone enthusiastically by John, innocuously by Phil, and supportively by Paul the God bless everyone. >> Thank you all. >> Everyone have a good holiday weekend. >> Yeah. Does anyone have a mint or a piece of Dominic? >> I do. >> Do you want fancy uh Swiss mints that I got? >> I look like a guy who didn't like fancy Swiss. My mom is at the Swiss airport and I still speaking his language.
