  1. 0:02Everyone, thank you for joining. Uh, call to order. Yay. Accept the minutes from last month. Yes. >> Great. Thank you very much. >> Um, okay. Membership. So, um, Michael Harris resigns, right? Fine. That probably has to be made official somehow. I have to have him send an official email to the county to the clerk. Okay, fine. Um, andrew is going to make a soft comeback, >> not get hopes to apply, >> but to have to talk about him. Um I'm still CCing him on emails and so we like to background. >> Yeah. So that's good. That's good news because um because I had no idea because I still ar it's going to happen in fall and um
  2. 1:10so yeah. Um yeah. >> So uh okay. So okay. So let's go back. So, Climate Smart, we sent it all off. Yay. That happened since last meeting, right? Yay. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you everyone for helping with Climate Smart. According to I sent an email out, I don't know. I forget what the numbers were right off the top of my head, but we needed like what >> 120 >> 120 and we submitted like potentially >> we submitted >> we submit we had like a >> we had like over >> we had a lot like 40 or something points. Yeah, >> we have cushion for any >> we might even. So if we can press this, let's wait until the dust settles in July and we'll see what actually points we got. >> When do they just anytime in July or >> right now? Okay. So, right now what has happens is that um Tara who we were
  3. 2:14working with is out >> and but Haley is coming back. >> Okay. >> H is coming back. >> Um and she'll be back like I think like in a week or two. >> So we'll touch base with her and we'll do like another whatever to see where we're at. Yeah. >> Um so she could tell us where and then we're not far off if we I think because we submitted over the amount of points So there is possibility for us next year January uh if we continue doing the followup on the ones that we were kind of working on so that January we could submit for potentially silver >> right but I think when I this is another clarifying so I don't think it was fully clear to me when we talked to who's the >> Tara um I asked if we wanted to get if we wanted to submit more points how would that look and I thought you said we'd have to resubmit the thing again. >> So, it might just be worth clarifying that with >> You mean
  4. 3:16>> I don't know how it works. I don't think it's super easy to try to get to try to add on point >> beyond the bronze. >> Yeah. I don't I don't again I feel like it wasn't a really clear answer and I think >> so if we go over the bronze level, let's say bronze is 120, right? For argument. >> I think it is. >> It's 120, right? So, we did like 150. >> I think it's 300 first. >> I think we were getting close to two. I think we're getting closer to 200. Anyway, but we'll figure out how we get to, you know, after July. We'll have another conversation with them to figure out how we can get to silver if that's even that seemed to be a possibility. >> And when we would have to submit to >> that would be January next year. >> It would be. Okay. >> Yeah. um if we wanted to but then and I guess >> or we could like we noted things for future submissions. So even if it's like we're not ready for January because let's just say it is like an extra >> right >> 150 points or something then we could
  5. 4:18just continue to like chip away at some of the things that we've been following up on and then by the time that >> and that's it that's the point is that the idea is that we're working on this constantly. Yeah. Not just, you know, it's sort of it's a marathon, not a sprint kind of thing. Yeah. Whatever. >> Yeah. Fine. >> And that this will give us it gives us something to do, >> I guess. >> Cuz I don't know what we get out of the whole >> We got bragging rights. We got a plaque. I don't know what we get. Lot of work. preential treatment when the dogs get to maybe >> a DC tote. >> I like it. >> All right. Um, that's where we're at with that. So like we talked about where we'll know in July just to summarize my email we'll know in July and then Tara
  6. 5:22is out but Haley will be back. So that's the plan. >> Okay. >> Excuse me. One one um I have a meeting tomorrow the county but as of last meeting they still didn't have the whatever they needed from Hudson. >> Wait who what? the county uh the Columbia County Clown Mark task force doesn't have what they need from us for me to be on a member >> from the council the resolution to pass it. >> Oh, >> they didn't get whatever documentation they need. >> Who do I need to send it to? >> Don >> Don Meltz. >> Can you not do the thing without it? I've been doing it anyway, but just just to make it official. Have >> you have you been able to join the actual call or just the like the YouTube? >> Um, yeah. Well, yeah, just the >> you've been in the >> I've been on the Zoom. >> On the Zoom. >> Yeah. Do you have his in the address? Don's email address.
  7. 6:25>> Yeah, I'll send it to you. >> Send me the email address and I'll just forward him to sign the resolution. Okay, that's all I think that's all. >> Yeah, thank you. Send it to you, right? Sorry about that. >> No, I I'm sorry to interrupt. I just >> No, that's why we have So, um, HTC seedling plantings. >> Yeah, >> talk to me. >> They're great. Um, 135 poles, 202 plants planted at the dog park. >> All at the dog park. >> All at the dog park. And then 46 planted at Oakdale Lake. And that all the remaining plants went to uh it's Kent, right? Sam Kent. Kent at >> Ken. Yes. >> Ken Ken K. Um Ken at Kites Nest is um taking care of the remaining plants so that we could plant. Um and we're working with DPW on towing and weed whacking. They have they're allowing me to borrow a weed marker and
  8. 7:30I go in and I just shrink some stuff up. Uh we have a lot of folks helping us water. Um I did a count all of them have sprouted >> um except for like 10 and I don't think that they're dead. I think it's a few of the northern bay berries that were just like >> Yeah, they're playing dead. They're playing >> I think they're just >> just being a little while to wait. this really great um survivor percentage because they're bare roots. So I think I'm like add to 10 out of 202. >> Yeah. >> That were just like not sprouting. So that's really great. >> Um and we just need to get mulch >> which would help not only protect the plants but aesthetics. Um, and I think it would just be uh we we tapped out our budget with HDC. >> Um, so it would if we can um allocate some funds from the CAC budget, it
  9. 8:33wouldn't be a lot, but we could get a book together and see how much I >> I can't imagine it being more than a few hundred dollars. >> Well, I'm still begging. I mean, I called. >> Oh, right. We're still trying to get >> We're trying to get either donated, but in this case, I don't see it being more than a few $300 has given us in the past. >> Yeah. So, and Homemstead deliver gave us free compost to incorporate into the planting. So, um so yeah, we're just trying to work that out. So, once we have like an idea if we'll just pass if if it doesn't cost anything. Um, do you think it could come out of the CIC budget? >> Yeah, I mean, you have to look at um, street tree planting, which I think we do put mulch in there as well for budgeting purposes for >> Okay. >> So, if it's a few hundred, >> yeah, we'll figure it out. >> Um, I have to talk to Andrew to figure out where we are with that. Okay. >> We just put together a budget and if we have a couple few hund just Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Um, that sounds good. And then the other thing too, if if we do have
  10. 9:38flexibility with the budget, I think having like a small container down there to hold some of our watering equipment would be helpful. Um, but it's not critical. So, it would be helpful, but it would be a want, not a need. So, if there's if there's wiggle room in the budget, then we could also >> Do they have a shape down there? >> They do, but it's locked and it's full and it's not the right shape. It's more of a vertical shed. >> See like a something. >> Yeah. Yeah. One of the watering cans got got beat up by I picked it up. I just saw a bunch of light. I'm like this will not work. Instead of having like 10 holes at the top and have a thousand around to the bottom, okay, cuz right now we're just like laying them like against the fence between the fence and the shed. And it's just it's adorable. >> All right. You hear that, Carol? Oh, >> all good though. Um, and then other than that,
  11. 10:41yeah, everyone's helping water them. They look good. >> Do I owe you a chunk reimbursement? >> Oh, thank you. I was actually just looking through my my bullets and yes, if we can Is there anything else you need or what's the steps to process reimbursement? >> I check is is HTC. So that means that accounts as the HTC account that we that they opened up for us. >> Yeah. So what how do I >> So the funds are there in that HTC account, right? >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. I mean, we've only spent 475 for the I think it was 475 for the planting. So the remaining are what I sent to you, the receipts that I sent to you. >> All right. So there's money there to cover it. >> Yeah. >> Fine. Okay. Fine. So I just need to write your check. >> Yes. And then you have Did you find your receipt? >> No, I put them in a safe place. >> She put them in a safe place, but she forgot. They're gone. >> Oh, well then put the coal. So you don't have them.
  12. 11:45>> There wasn't a lot, but I put them inside. very very >> they're very very >> um >> Is there anything else that you need for me? Do you want me to tally them up? Do you want me to I have my checkbook in the car but this >> Oh yeah, I'm not worried about when but >> let me know if anything's working. I'll see I know >> you know >> Yeah, I got it on the >> All right. Oh, before moving on though, just since we're talking about budget, um, three, we have three Gator bags after two weeks. >> Um, okay. Um, how many more gator bags do you think we might need? >> We probably need five because there are eight new treats. So, >> and help. >> Do we have any money left over in the DEC budget that covered that? because if not that would be something else that would
  13. 12:46>> that's a good question >> need to come out of the CAC budget >> we haven't asked that question they around $2700 left >> who can we follow up with then >> Paula I think from the DEC >> do you have Paula's email >> I I have her so I will send so what do we need data bag or what else >> um and we need money contest. >> Oh, the contest, right? >> Yeah. Um, >> posters. >> How much How much money are the gators, do you think? >> Oh, because we must get extra if they get ripped off. >> I think they're about $30 a piece and we think they were weed whacked, right? >> Yeah, that's Well, we were quite certain that it was unfortunately whacked. Yeah. >> Um, >> we should get an extra. >> Yeah. And I'm gonna try to mend the one that you gave me. Um, which um, yeah, I think I'll be able to do it
  14. 13:48with some glue that I have. >> Yeah, DPW found three gator bags that they gave to us. One had a hole so that >> All right. So, let me see if there's still money available. And if not, that might come out of our expense. I think that one would have to that would be a need since >> the trees are so >> Yeah, >> it's you have like 100% mortal 100% survivability rate. >> Yeah, pretty much. I think it's 95%. >> Yeah, probably 95% >> if that's something. Do you want to just confirm with Paul? It does. Would Paul be the one that >> Yeah, let me see if there's still money available there for the gator bags. Worst case scenario, we take $1,000 out of our street three budget. That's >> Yeah, >> it's for trees. >> Yeah. I mean, just >> Yeah, >> I know. >> It's um Okay, great. >> I have to follow up with that. Um what else? Light bulb. I still have light bulbs, so I'm going to do a round this next week and like just hand some more out. Okay, we have our five light bulb
  15. 14:51stations to make sure that I have a lot of light bulbs. >> Uh the EV car I spoke to, Piso, we awarded them the the contract. The contract is approved now and they're going to what's what's the next step? The next step is that PO gets on the um on the what on the wait list with National Grid so we get national grid money so we can actually pull the electricity off of the um the poles down to the ground and then into the stations. Um, we are most likely going to do the level two chargers by the Amtrak station across from the Amrak station because the level three is probably not going to happen because the level three get I tell you there was a whole big >> what happened >> again put in a level three the first ones in Columbia County put in a level three char station >> I supposedly from my understanding is that
  16. 15:53they got charged an arm and a leg for electricity because of like surge pricing or something. >> Yeah, I heard when I was on the call for the um the meeting, the county meeting, they were saying there were time of day issues in Filmont with the level three >> and they were getting really geez high bills very high bills. So it was an issue, >> right? They have to figure that out. So, we're probably going to just stick to level twos anyway. >> Yeah, >> fine. No issue. >> How how many are granted again? >> It's similar to the uh behind city hall three. So, we have three three stations, six ports. >> Yeah. And the good part with the ant station is that one of those uh well, two of the spots will be handicapped accessible. So, that'll be good. And so you know which these ones behind us separate issue is that we take a follow up with that one too is um we signed a contract to include a warranty so that they will come and
  17. 16:57replace the stations that are there which are damaged. Um we are now working uh with their accounting office to um give us a new invoice that does not include sales tax. So that's where that fine. That's what I do. So that um okay, tree ordinance. Okay. So do we want to circle back and talk about tree ordinance now that we have the earth? We want what do we want to do with this? talk. >> Well, I chatted with Daniel a little bit and I emailed >> Nathan to because I I was just trying to like get more context and background about >> what our group has done and what the history is. So, I haven't been back from him yet. Um, but hoping to talk to him and just get a download on that and any advice on next steps. And then I email Laura or Law, right, just to be like,
  18. 18:01>> we haven't forgotten, you know, like catch me up and we'll be in touch soon. >> Okay, good. >> Um, but definitely open to discussing what we want to do at next. >> Thank you. Yeah, now that I think the climate smart stuff is kind of behind us, we can go back and more resources to focus on this. Maybe we get another person or two to join us as well that would help help you out too. So, it's not just all it's been done. Um, >> wasn't there a person last time that was interested in joining? >> She also bend from the doctor. >> That's right. We had >> Yeah. What was her Was it Emily? >> No. >> Was it another Emily? No. >> What was her name? >> What was her name? Anyway, I thought Ben was gonna join today, too. He's interested in join. >> Yeah, he's at the dog park. >> Oh, >> somebody >> That's right. You know,
  19. 19:04>> new to town. I think that they moved here over the phone. >> All right. I'm going to put that back up in the membership. That's right. I remember Hillary's Hillary. Yes. and Ben. >> Um, all right. So, okay. So, I'm going to Well, community solar really isn't community solar. It's it's that whole I >> Well, I was going to ask too, is there any other followup we need to do? Ken respond at all >> the attorney. >> Yeah, >> I didn't see anything from him. >> No. I wrote to Brad um just earlier today to see if he could share any additional if he had any um he was the one who proposed from power markets >> the community solar project and had met with the mayor's office and with the county council. So I just he had additional
  20. 20:05>> resources that we could then share as needed but I was hoping >> the attorney would just respond to your >> Yeah. >> note you nothing. No, I CC both of you too and I haven't. >> Um, yeah, I was just looking at the email when I >> follow. >> Um, I sent that May 18th and CC um, everyone on the CAC and the Thank you. >> All right. All right. Next. Um, okay. So, the photo contest. What are you doing the photo contest? Talk to me. >> All right. I did reach out to the fireman's >> phone and got their person and uh
  21. 21:11responsible and she she seemed very excited about it but um she was going to get back to me. I haven't heard back yet but I will pursue it. I just have been doing a whole lot of other stuff. So, >> and again that's going to cross my team. >> Well, you know I mean we just we'll print up some posters. We'll do some more social media stuff I think and >> and that was in the we asked Paula about that. >> Do you know how much like an estimate of how much? >> I don't I mean I I think there has to be some incentive. I think we should have a prize for adults and a prize for kids. Refreshments maybe. >> You know, but it's four seasons, so I don't want it to be not starting up until the fall, you know, one get summer, you know, >> right event. >> Is it a four season photo contest? >> Yes. Yes. That's what was proposed. So that's that's the deal. Okay. So, but you know, could be sort of like score four or something like this.
  22. 22:13>> And are they what are they are they posing with the trees? What is >> what I think whatever the heck they want to do creatively that that includes the trees in four different seasons? I don't think it matters really. Does it have to be tree related or >> Yes, it has to include the trees. Some creative exploration of the trees. you know, they want you to be naked by the tree in all the seasons. Go for it. You know, I don't care. But, um, you know, that's it. Just >> Maybe we'll ask them what other places have done. >> Well, it's funny because like the gator bags like somebody dressed up as like like an actual as a gator. >> Yeah. Halloween would be a good question. >> Who judges the photos? >> Who judges the photos? Good question. >> I'm assuming we do. >> I was hoping we do that. >> We do. I think I don't know because it
  23. 23:15was it was part of the um the grant applic that was one of the deliverables for getting the grant was that they were going to do a contest, too. So, we're labeling the trees and we're having a four seasons photo contest. That's what city of Hudson said. >> Can we put the photos somewhere and a wall someplace, >> you know? Well, I'm thinking you see the fireman's museum, too. They have some wall space there. So, we could talk, you know, wherever. Yeah. >> In here or in within the shops maybe, you know, in the Is the county coming into the carnival thing again at the county fairgrounds? >> Do you know >> what >> do you know they do the climate carnival? >> Oh yeah yeah yeah. Yes they do. >> Are they going to do that again? Do you know? >> I believe so. What is it? >> Sure. >> What is the climate carnival? >> Find the sentence both exciting and
  24. 24:18terrifying. Well, there's also there's going to be my smart um >> this isn't the same. This isn't at the fairgrounds, but there's going to be a countywide climate meeting maybe in midocctober that they're going to discuss. >> My my point is that maybe then the photos we can display at the carnival. >> Yeah. Yeah. like it. >> Yeah. >> The winner or something. >> Let's see. I think it's all right. Fine. >> Um, there anything else we have to know from the county? >> I don't think so. >> No. City side looks we never got anything back on that open space. Oh, the Instagram account. Um, Andrew on that. Yes, he has been our fearless leader. >> The what?
  25. 25:19>> Our fearless leader. Yes. Instagram account. >> So, I should get the Instagram account info from Andrew. >> Yes. >> So, we can post stuff. >> Yeah. Um >> um any update on sidewalk specs? >> I haven't. >> Is there a way that we could re-engage with them? >> Okay. >> We could re-engage the planning board. Nathan, it's that guy who was here. What's his name? Ron. >> My brain is terrible. >> The head of the planning board. >> Yeah. Yeah. But but um >> welcome. But it's the planning board that's leading it. Is that right? >> Well, yeah. I mean, >> the public works board. Thank you. Um yes, it's all the works for but you know we as the advising of the council can advise the city council to say hey you
  26. 26:26know amend the code so that you know the uh for sidewalks so that we have xyz sidewalks instead of just >> cement which I think is what it says now. Yeah, we were kind of asking earth. >> Should we go back to earth law? >> If if they're willing, >> I feel like that would be helpful because it includes ordinances and like >> I think this sidewalk would be easier um problems to solve than the tree ordinance initially. >> Tree or it's going to make my whole head gray. um sidewalk specs like basically integrating I based on my integrating green infrastructure design into like just these are our specs like this when people come to redo a sidewalk like this is what we're recommending giving
  27. 27:30them as like the baseline or the typical specs to follow while they're design redesigning sidewalks. So, >> that could be integrating bio swells or catchments or or something like it there's a range of techniques. Um, >> right now I think we just say I forget what the code says so don't quote me on this but basically it's just cement. >> So, if we wanted to do something other than cement or surfaces >> yeah, what should the cutouts be? group cuts to accept water coming in off the street to enter these areas. Yeah. >> And then, right, we could just then link we could change the codes, change the city code so that it says blah blah blah kind of sidewalks. Um, all right. So, would you want to go out to Earth law and ask? >> Okay, great. see what they recommend in terms of say we're trying to recommend various types of environmentally
  28. 28:32friendly sidewalks, >> especially if other towns nearby have done it already. >> See what they know? As well as going back to our list of tree recommendations that we have on our sites. >> Oh yeah, >> I think I sent an email on that >> and I thought I sent him to you. >> Did you send me an email? >> I did. I did. I I think you know what I'll have to put something else too. But we do have a couple of places I think we have tree >> list of trees >> and it's the non-native list right >> that I that only the non-native list that was the one that I found. >> You only found the non-native list. So we have so Okay. So we just have to amend it so that if people are up on the city website looking for what kind of trees to plant >> so that they see the right list. >> Yeah. >> Yes. Yeah. >> Right. >> Yeah. So, we just need to augment that list. >> I couldn't find the the native like the native native only list. Do you have it or >> was Hillary gonna look for it when she
  29. 29:34at the last meeting when she was here? >> I'm follow somebody. >> I think I think the name of the list is on our tree form. >> I opened that one. It was the nonative. >> It's not on there. I'm 98% sure that it was the non-native. That's what I was. >> All right. So, maybe let's go back to Hillary. >> Do you want me to follow up with her? >> Yeah. Do you know? Can you just >> Yeah, thanks. >> Sorry, I'm a little bit. >> It's okay. You can delegate. Thank you. Brett might also have that list. >> Yeah, I could also ask Britain. Now that we now we got the kind of sort thing off the plates, I think
  30. 30:39I was a little bit stressed out with it was a lot. >> I was angry spitting. I like >> I got on Sunday. I'm like, "Wow." >> Each one required like a memo like I was like, "I hope this is this is fine. This is all I could do." >> I would send them the tish like, "No, this is wrong. I didn't say this this information." >> Wrong wrong. >> It's like is is the electrical equipment at the cemetery two or four cylinders? I don't know. Why? Why is it cylinder? >> I don't know. And I Googled it all, but the serial number didn't tell me like I don't know. >> It was really >> It was a lot. It was a lot. >> It was a whole lot. I don't know. I still >> That is pretty fun. >> All right, folks. That's all I got at 6:30. Um, what else? New business. >> What am I missing? I don't know if you
  31. 31:44talked about this at the very beginning. I'm sorry I was a few minutes late. The uh Eastern White Pine, any updates there? >> I couldn't I couldn't open your your link just now. >> Sam's doing a great job taking care of >> and it's where you >> It's in my yard. >> When where should we plant it? Well, that's that's >> Yeah, we the city has to decide where they want it. Um, and as Lloyd had recommended, and I'm sort of on board with that somewhere in the cemetery perhaps because there's space there and maybe it'll be more protected perhaps. I don't think we should replant it on the on Prominade Hill because I think it'll be a sitting duck. >> Yeah. >> Unless we were to cage it in. And actually I'm so sick of everything in the prison fountains. So if we can put it somewhere where we
  32. 32:45didn't have to clean it up or it would be great, I think, right? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> We could also see if um the dog park or Oakdale would be appropriate. >> Um backups. >> True. I mean, white pines, they need they like to be in a grove, sort of a little sheltered when they're babies. They So, they would eat the tree would eat that. >> Um, right now there's I don't think there's another >> row of white pines close by by the dog. >> I don't think so. >> And um but we can think about it. >> Yeah. >> I mean I mean all over Hudson I mean. >> Yeah. when the dog park's getting um the treat in their bone. >> Yes, Carol was asking about that. Um >> that she sent out to Cara sent out a corn that we got like last month, the month before. I mean, yeah, the cemetery has the robe, which doesn't need to find a spot for
  33. 33:46>> Yeah. And then I guess the other thing too for just speaking of the cemetery, if we want to think about that idea, Hillary presented. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. and and I had sort of a side mention to her because when I was trying to grant for the cemetery um found out there's a whole area in the back um where primarily women and poor people were dumped >> without any marker >> and it's really sad and I wish it weren't so and it'd be really nice to have some sort of acknowledgement there Um >> that's something I just thought like before before I broke I was there to just remember um the people who came before you know largely like I said poor and >> you know yeah so anyhow >> I mean I think just like Hillary is
  34. 34:49doing a memorial tree for someone face. I wonder who used to be on CSA. Um, >> Elsa. >> Elsa. Thank you. Sorry. Sorry. >> Elsa. >> Elsa. >> Right. Um, so but she work she's working with Rob Perry on where to plant the tree. >> Okay. Um there's there's room in the cemetery too I think to plant trees and there's like like uh Aaron did the entrance to Glint which by the way is now like amazing right it's beautiful >> um but there are plenty of places that if we were to do if we had some plantings then they wouldn't have to mow I would think and it would save them some little bit of time and effort. and started that conversation and we're on I think the same page um as far as well
  35. 35:52like we asked them hey if there are places you don't want to mow just let us know because we can um plant stuff >> well the first place is up on I mean we used to talk about this like years ago that um where is we had someone come in give a talk and the crypts themselves. Okay, so there's the the crips which are in the >> in the banks >> in the banks, right? Those are impossible to model. >> What are these grips in the banks? >> So So you found So you have no idea where where these are hillside. >> They're built into the hillside. The old cemetery. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Crypts. I get it. Crypts is >> right is freestanding. A crypt is into a hillside. >> I don't know. We were still talking about cemetery. I was like, "What are crypts? Are they a different geographic?" You sure that I'm unaware of? So, I didn't know we moved on. >> We're still on secondary. >> We're still on cemetery. >> So, again, the hardest places to mow
  36. 36:56would be on the crypts. >> Mhm. >> So, that would be the first place to actually start like replanting. But to replant the cemetery with like a grounds cover or something, it's just like >> it's a huge huge project. >> Oh, yeah. I mean, that's ultimately, I think, where we have >> By ground cover, do you mean like a no mo? >> What do you mean? >> What did you mean by ground covering? >> Like a ground cover, right? Like like something that we don't have to mow. >> Oh, okay. I got you. Yeah. >> Because the city spends at least half a million dollars a year maintaining >> maintaining grass. >> Yeah. Oh my gosh. I will rip it up in a year >> because it's not Take that. >> It's not easy to mow and sometimes I mow it a few times a week. spell. Yeah. >> Be careful to ask for you. >> I will. >> But then everyone has to weak whack around the stones themselves because you can't mold too close and the stones are very diff it's very difficult to maneuver. I mean >> it's a lot. >> Well then honestly sometimes like those areas could it could just be beneficial
  37. 38:00for like a no bow grass like a rather than plantings if they are too challenging or it's both. That would be no and >> right >> like clove like clover. I can't remember all the right terms but there's some like >> some turf that you don't have to that it's fairly short. >> It might not be native but it's um not aggressive so it will be fine >> but then it takes mowing off the table as well and then you could always incorporate like larger trees and shrubs. If someone's looking for for grants, it's probably be a phase approach. You know, the number one would be like I said like the crips and things which are so impossible to mow. It's put the ground cover over there first, but then someone has to go and plant it. >> It's a lot. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I I think it would be beautiful. It would be nice to to have some I mean, the only ground covers and they're not native to around here. I'm thinking which would really work now, especially
  38. 39:02with climate change now are like the heathers and the heaths. Those can fill in beautifully, but they're from Scotland. >> But I think we could double check to see if they're aggressive because they might just be >> they're not aggressive typically, but they will fill out and they're beautiful. You know, they can they're not that >> grass isn't native. So >> true. I I think at least the type that we use. >> Okay. So, white pine in the cemetery. >> So, you're in a conversation. You said with Rob Perry already about >> Oh, Hillary was >> Hillary. Yeah. >> Well, Hillary's talking about another tree. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Her tree. Yeah. >> And then >> we'll have to find a place for the white pine in the cemetery somewhere. >> Yes. >> Yes. I don't think it's a major rush because it probably needs a little bit more time to recover. >> And I'm just thinking where we were going to plant the trees anyway when we were doing the proposal. Sort of right
  39. 40:05as you enter these this the um where Aaron's beautiful >> entrance is. >> Um as you approach the building actually on the left there are other trees there and it would could probably go right in the center of those. Oh, >> you know, and there are up in the old cemetery also, there are a bunch of white pines. >> Oh, >> that are beautiful. >> So, it could go around there, too, and be hacked. >> But that's the older part of the cemetery, >> but yeah, could go there. >> Yeah. Um, the last thing too was just uh following up on the mayor's email asking about rain gardens. >> I think he wanted to maybe >> Well, that's I think I've seen a lot when we were talking about sidewalks, rain gardens specific. >> Yeah, >> it ties into that for sure. But so he was looking at rain garden like sites
  40. 41:09for I can't remember the email but it looked like he wanted to try to schedule a meeting too. I think so. >> Yes. And he has another issue which you which she'll address like next week with us. >> Is he coming here? No next week. What's >> next? Next month. Sorry. >> He's coming to this next month >> I think. So I think I did follow up with that email just helping to explain more about green infrastructure and rain gardens. Um which Sam replied to as well. Um, but yeah, there's also the recycling bin if you wanted to meet. So, >> yeah, I think it was like a combo between that and the rain gardens when he was like, "Can we meet to talk about a few other Anyway, I think a meeting, but we did all schedule one meeting those two things." Yeah. >> If it's helpful or if he wants to come here next month. >> All right. Maybe we'll do that. Maybe we'll ask him to join us next month. We can talk about grave gardens and his other proposal as well. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Oh, I see. Yeah. Yeah. >> Guess though, if there's anything we can like prep ahead of time, that would be good.
  41. 42:11>> There's anything we can prep ahead of time or >> can you send us some information on? >> I'm looking at it now. So, I don't know. >> Do anything on recycling. We'll just wait to have that meeting. >> So, should I not do anything on recycling till we meet? >> Oh, recycling. That was the other topic that we What else did he >> I think he was trying to weave the two together potentially. >> Yeah, there was another issue he had that I just sent out I think like yesterday or the day before. Hold on. Sorry. Oh yeah, the O begins with an O. Sorry, I forget what that is. He said to wait on that until until next month. So, whatever that other issue was. Sorry. Hold on. Let me find it. >> Get in there. >> Bear with my brain. I feel like it's
  42. 43:15been fried for the past two weeks. So, brain has really >> Oh, up energy service. >> Yeah, energy service. I don't know what that is. >> Okay. I was gonna ask you, but >> I have no idea. He just said to hold off on hold. >> Yeah. So, you know, I'm hoping the mayor we'll ask the mayor to join us for next month and we'll talk to him about recycling and rain gardens and Altera. >> Okay. What was >> Yeah, >> we'll get him for the first maybe 15 minutes and um All right. What else? Anything else or another? >> I just received a email from Early who works at Kites Nest. Um, they've kites Nest the regen teens have applied for a DEC grant and they wondered if
  43. 44:18>> a letter of support for their grant proposal from the CAC. They have a draft letter that they've just copied. >> What is it? What's the project? Um they don't specify I don't just got it. Um but it's related to uh >> help with growth and leadership the young environmental leaders uh focused on health um with educational grant um for community educators but doesn't specify exactly what >> pollinator meadow >> those past projects that they they've received funding for >> um I mean Ken is Ken runs the regen program and I know they work pretty well. Um I'm happy to send a letter from myself or from >> um I don't see a date but
  44. 45:26>> looking okay. They didn't specify, but I can ask. No, but they have a draft here also. Happy to share it around if people have any concerns, but people are generally supportive. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Absolutely. >> Sure. >> You sure? I'll send it around anyway just so you can see. All right. Anything else? >> Aaron had her baby. >> Is she just a couple days ago? Lo >> a wow. >> Wow. Wave. >> Congrats.
  45. 46:29>> Um, wanted to mention the tomorrow's event. >> Oh, yeah. >> What time? >> 6 p.m. >> from 8. >> Um, please come. Please come. >> This is the simul. >> Huh? >> What is the event? This is um the climate ready has the Sunni people um doing a an educational like I'm like a a munch and learn at the library. So um and they're going to try to obtain you know part of their initiative is obtain you know history historic information from people >> and get them to register all that. So, we've been madly trying to get people um on board that and also found out which was really I had no idea because I'm not involved politics typically but um I wasn't completely unaware I was thinking of Aaron that in Greenport there's a whole
  46. 47:32area where there's been flooding and they brought it up before their planning board and so um those people are some of the people that the Sunni people will want to talk to because um they have lots of information about past flooding and what's going on now because someone is trying to buy unfortunately they maybe have already purchased the land behind um the synagogue um leading on to Livingston Parkway there and it already floods those streets and if they chop that up and get rid of those trees in my humble opinion that's going to be complete disaster. So, they're, you know, worried about that. So, anyway, um we're hoping that they'll come tomorrow night, but the planning board meeting is at the same time. Of course, all the same time um tomorrow night. So, I said we'll come early if you can. >> So, tomorrow night is the whole county is the whole is the county or is it just
  47. 48:34Hudson? >> What? >> Who's invited or is everyone invited or >> um to this event? >> Yes. Um it's primarily Hudson but it's also you know Greenport extending into Greenport of course because uh it's really part of Hudson. So um >> but there will be people outside the county I think too who are just really interested and that's fine because even if they live outside they may have been born in Hudson or whatever and they might be able to contribute information. >> So did you say six to eight? >> It's six to eight. Yeah. Do you need RSVP? Like is there a link to RSVP or just show up? >> Yes, there is a Yeah, but that that's made it confusing to try to prep for this because it is both RSVP or just show up. We really don't know. I am showing up. I did not RSVP and I was like, okay, hope springs a tournament. So, we're the mayor's going to be there. He's going to
  48. 49:35be there. Just sent him off the deck >> today. But >> Sam's been like crushing it. So >> Mama's biscuits are >> biscuits. >> That's an incentive, I think. Right. Right. So they're Yeah. So >> that's good. >> That's fun. >> So anyway, so come on. Come. Anybody out there? >> Tomorrow. Tomorrow. >> TV land at the library. >> Yeah, that's an area in the library. That's right. Yes. 6 p.m. at the library. with the revolver. Yeah. >> And a candlestick >> and a candlestick >> with Mrs. Scarlet. Anyway, yeah, that'd be great. That'd be great. >> So, >> um, anyone anything else? >> No. If anybody wants to come, I'm going to go water plants now. So, >> plants. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. It's a dog. >> Yeah. Um, Spiral Health Park is also having our summer solstice carnival and it's unfortunately at a terrible time
  49. 50:39for Hudson and that it's at um the afternoon of June 20th. >> Yes. >> So, if you want to come after the Pride Parade to Sard the Spiral House Park, please do. >> Spiral House from 2 to 6. I I usually >> Yeah, I do. I do some session. >> Anyone else? >> Send a reminder, please. >> A nagging reminder. There's so much going on. >> Yeah. Very busy. >> It's just Yeah. >> Very busy. Um, anything else? I don't think so. I feel like if we wait another five minutes, there might be something. >> Motion to adjurnn. >> Yay. >> Ajourn. Waiting for Aaron. >> Baby.
  50. 51:42>> Baby. Aaron's baby. All right. Uh thank
